Today I’m sharing how to mix a brown floral sweater with chic black and white basics. This was another purchase from the boutique I work at but it was on major sale. I loved it so much when I first saw it and I was pleasantly surprised that it made past Christmas on the rack. Brown is such a popular shade right now so why not pair it with black and white?

Brown Floral Sweater with a Black Pleated Midi Skirt

This skirt first appeared on the blog here and here. Most women get scared of mixing black and brown but I think all neutrals mix well together. (Black and navy is one of my favorite combinations.) The key with making this outfit flattering is tucking in the sweater and adding the bow belt. Leaving the sweater out gives no shape to my body.

Brown Floral Sweater with White Jeans

Why not wear white jeans in winter? There are no rules now when it comes to wearing white. I love how the brown sweater just pops off the jeans. I can leave the sweater untucked because of the fitted flare jeans. To finish off the look, I added my leopard and pink suede bag. I love how the pink suede picks up the pink in the sweater and the leopard mimics the floral pattern.

Which look is your fave? I think of the first look being perfect for church while the second is a cool casual going out look for the weekend. Yay for finding a sweater that can work with my black and white basics! Have you added brown to your winter wardrobe?
