Today’s post is all about the best dresses that show off your waist for the spring and summer seasons. I am all about finding clothes that flatter your figure. It’s a struggle particularly now because everything is very oversized. I thought I would do the work for you and find dresses that will make you look fabulous. The key with the choices I share is that they all have some kind of waist detail that brings the eye there. Are you getting excited for the warmer season ahead?
The Best Dresses for the Spring/Summer Season
The maxi dress I am wearing here was from last year from a collaboration I did with Chico’s. I don’t think I ever shared it on the blog. The color, the print, and the fit are wonderful. Better late than never! The V-neckline and contrasting stitched waist are wonderful details that make my waist look teeny tiny. I love that the print stops at the waist and then begins again at the bottom of the dress. Another detail that makes me look taller!
The shoes are new and were a sale find from Lori’s Shoes – one of my favorite shoe stores in the city. The kitten heel and pale green shade works great with this dress. The possibilities are endless when it comes to accessories because there are so many colors to pull out of this print!

Summer is the best season for dresses especially here in Arizona. These are all so fabulous although in our extreme heat sometimes I don’t want them fitted at the waist, haha!

I have noticed a lot of dresses are ‘fluffy’ as I’d call them right now. I was just in J. Crew and was telling the lady I wanted to try a dress I liked in a size down, just because of all the extra fabric. I much preferred it once I sized down (yet, it was still fluffy- ha, ha!). Oh, I love this dress. I love that it has a waist line and the colors and print are so beautiful. Love the contrast color from the shoes too!
