How to Take Your Black Looks Up a Notch with S. Deer Clothing by Powder Beauty.

Today I’m showing you how to take your black looks up a notch with S. Deer Clothing. In December I did an Instagram collaboration with this brand and was impressed by the style and quality of their clothing. You can see my Instagram reel for this collaboration here. This brand doesn’t embrace color very much but the unique details of their clothing more than make up for this.

S. Deer Collared Mesh Patchwork Knit Dress

This dress worked perfectly for Christmas Eve. I ended changing up the belt and bought this gorgeous jeweled chain waist belt from Amazon to make it more festive. The knit fabric is so comfy and I adore the cool tulle pleats. This dress is a definitely a unique take on the classic LBD.

S. Deer Loose Batwing Sleeve Knit Sweater

I don’t usually like batwing sleeves but the pleats of this sweater keep the eye moving down instead of across. The knit fabric is stretchy and sits just below the waist which is why I paired it with my favorite Spanx flared jeans. The gold booties add the pop that this look needs.

S. Deer Stand-Up Collar Goose Down Jacket

You know I like to be edgy sometimes and this jacket fits that bill. The zippers on the pockets are so cool and I love the stand up collar which helps with blocking the wind. The glossy sheen of the jacket is modern and makes it stand out from every other black puffer jacket.

Which piece is your favorite from S. Deer?

My Holiday Break

My holiday break was glorious because I stayed off of my fashion handle for Instagram. Lol! I love that there was no pressure to comment and keep up with everyone. My focus was on creating art in my journal everyday. My art journaling Instagram handle is where I hung out and explored other people’s art.

I enjoyed having my entire family home for a little while. Austin (my youngest) left for London 2 days after Christmas to march in the New Year’s Day Parade with his high school band. He got a close up on the live telecast which was so cool. My son Evan left right after New Year’s Day to start his student teaching semester. He then will graduate in May. How is this possible?

The Christmas decorations are down now and I’m ready to get back to this blog and Instagram. Sigh… How was your break?

Have a fantastic week friends! XO
