How to Rock The Fresh Combo of a Cardigan and Wide Leg Jeans this Spring by Powder Beauty.

Sharing how to rock the fresh combo of a cardigan and wide leg jeans this spring. The cardigan was shared in this post and was an awesome sale find after the holiday season. I can’t get enough of this fun color so I decided to style it for the upcoming spring season but with a winter season tweak. The weather is not quite there yet for bare legs here in Chicago.

These cropped wide leg jeans were from a Nuuly box I recently received and I thought they would make the favorite cardigan pop. It’s still chilly here so I chose to pair them with my knee boots to keep my legs warm. My leopard bag brings the neutrals and pink shades together.

Life Lately

Looking forward in my art journaling while I deal with menopause.

I thought I would give you all an update on what’s going on with me and my family. First up is me. I am a complete mess with this menopause transition. It has brought me down to my knees. Everything else has gone to the wayside at this point until I figure out a solution to my mood swings. It’s that bad. My suffering is making everyone else suffer so I’m trying to surrender to God’s plans. Praying I find relief this week when I see my naturopathic doctor for the second time. I took several tests that measured my hormone levels and I should get the results when I see her.

While I wait I am reading this book by Christine Northrup titled, “The Wisdom of Menopause: Creating Physical and Emotional Health During the Change”. The first sentence of the book made me feel less insane so I feel like it will be a good companion through this journey.

My husband Michael is about to embark on a new job situation. He has been semi-retired for the last year and half and it’s been a good experience to have him around all the time. But soon he will be back to working 40 hours a week. This is probably a good thing because I’m driving him crazy!

College Plans

Both sons are figuring out their college situation. My oldest Evan is graduating from Indiana University in May with a music education degree. He would like to get a Masters in Orchestral Conducting which means he has taken a couple of auditions. Hopefully we will have an idea of what he’s doing in the next couple of months.

My youngest Austin is graduating from high school this May and is in the process of figuring out where he wants to go to study French Horn music performance. He handled the audition process wonderfully and I’m so proud of the growth we saw in his playing.

So many changes happening in each one of us! They only thing getting me through this craziness is my art journaling practice. Hallelujah for art supplies!

Have a great week! XO
